Jessica Vargas, DDS, MPH
Dr. Vargas is a board-certified pediatric dentist, public health advocate and founder of Trooth Pediatric Dentistry. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, she is dedicated to helping children build healthy smiles through compassionate, evidence-based care that supports their overall well-being.
Known for her whole-child approach to care, Dr. Vargas focuses on creating positive dental experiences that help children feel safe, confident and empowered. Her areas of expertise include pediatric oral health, airway-focused dentistry, minimally invasive treatment, behavior guidance and sedation dentistry. She is passionate about identifying and addressing factors that may impact a child's oral health, development and overall quality of life. Trooth Pediatric Dentistry reflects this philosophy through its emphasis on preventive, functional and minimally invasive care.
Dr. Vargas earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry. She completed her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at UCLA while simultaneously earning a Master of Public Health degree from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Her advanced training allows her to approach oral health through both a clinical and public health lens, emphasizing prevention, education and long-term wellness.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Vargas has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to leadership, advocacy and service. She served as UCLA Pediatric Dental Chief of Orthodontics and was selected as a California Society of Pediatric Dentistry Warren Brandli Intern, where she received advanced training in professional advocacy, governance and leadership within organized dentistry. She has also contributed to pediatric dental and public health research, presenting nationally at AADR/IADR and CSPD conferences.
Dr. Vargas is deeply committed to serving her community through oral health education, school-based prevention programs and volunteer initiatives supporting underserved populations both locally and internationally. Fluent in English and Spanish, she strives to help families feel informed, supported and confident in their healthcare decisions. Her approachable communication style and dedication to patient-centered care have earned the trust of countless parents and children.

Office Coordinator & Dental Assistant
Brandon
Brandon has been a valued member of the Trooth Pediatric Dentistry team since 2024. Serving as both an office coordinator and dental assistant, he helps create a welcoming environment where children and families feel comfortable from the moment they walk through the door.
After graduating from the Miles Square Dental Assistant Program, Brandon developed a passion for supporting patients and ensuring they have a positive experience at every visit. He enjoys seeing families leave with smiles and values the strong sense of community that makes Trooth Pediatric Dentistry special.
Known for his warm personality and commitment to hospitality, Brandon strives to build meaningful connections with every family he meets. He takes pride in helping create a safe, supportive space where children can feel confident about their dental care.
When he is not at the office, Brandon enjoys listening to music and playing video games.
